Our Community Legal Education (CLE) team were in Buke Island, Manus province, from 14th to 18th October 2017. They conducted the Community Legal Education program, where twenty nine people attended. Some topics covered in the program were Laws of PNG, Government of PNG, landownership and management, customary landowners, conservation and management of environment, use and management of natural resources and practical information on police arrests and need for a lawyer.
The training was aimed at getting the twenty nine participants to know their basic human and resource rights and be empowered to manage their resource.
