The International Senior Lawyers Project (ISLP)visited CELCOR last week during their scoping trip to Papua New Guinea.
They were interested in the work that CELCOR is doing and wanted to learn more about the environmental issues that CELCOR is trying to address and the possibility for potential collaboration between ISLP and CELCOR
The main issue discussed during the meet was the SABL and land grabbing issues and matters relating to SABL that are currently in court. They also discussed the posibility of providing volunteers to assist CELCOR on a full time basis.
ISLP provides pro bono legal assistance to governments and civil society organisations in developing countries, leveraging global legal resources in alignment with clients needs to support just, accountable and inclusive development.
Cynthia Hirsch ISLP volunteer, James Clark Director Communications and Cybersecurity from the UK and John Murray new Community Inclusive Development Director represented ISLP in the meeting with CELCOR.
